Learn Russian in Russia: Visa Regulations
The Liden & Denz Language Centres are delighted to report that all students from Schengen states (including non-EU countries Norway and Switzerland) will be exempted from Russian visa fees when studying at our Russian language centres in Saint-Petersburg or Moscow.
The exemption works only for student visas and for a maximum duration of 3 months. The last country to sign this agreement with Russia was Switzerland, where this rule was only very recently applied.
Students from eligible countries staying at Liden & Denz for 3 months or less will automatically receive a student visa invitation letter by airmail (no extra fee for the mailing service), which will allow them to apply for their free student visa.
This is the rule but it is always a good idea to double check with your local Russian consulate or embassy, how this rule is applied.
In order to issue a student visa invitation letter, we need the following data:
- Clear passport copy with all relevant personal data
(full name and first name, date and place of birth, nationality), passport number, passport issue and expiry dates, issuing authority and place of issue, any prolongation remarks.
- We need the copy either by fax or scanned and sent by e-mail. Please note that the passport must remain valid for six months beyond the Russian visa expiry date.
- Exact length of stay (allow for some extra-days).
- Place of application for the visa (city, country)
- Exact address including contact person, where the letter should be send via airmail.

"Organization of
the school is great. Very good lesson plans, teachers
be able to introduce all necessary materials in very
informal atmosphere. The staff of the “Liden & Denz” did
everything possible to accommodate us well in every aspect.
English words are too simple to summarize everything
we should be thankful for. Thanks for being the truly
professionals you are! It was my pleasure to have a chance
to visit Saint-Petersburg and work with you all. I hope
we will have a chance to work together again next year.
Good job!!!"
