Leisure & Culture: Learning Russian In Russia

At Liden & Denz we combine intensive studies with a wide range of excursions and other cultural and social activities year round to give our students an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the magnificent cities of St.Petersburg and Moscow and – no less important – with the way of life in Russia. Some activities are free, such as the city centre tours for new students and our Friday cocktails. Other activities are sold at reasonable rates.

The current activity programme is given to every new student. All excursion and guided visits are conducted in Russian. At our school in St.Petersburg foreign students can meet Russians who study English, German, French, Spanish and Finnish.

The school in St. Petersburg also organises several very popular joint events (for instance, boat trips) for our Russian and foreign students to encourage language and cultural exchange.

Holders of an ISIC card (International Student Identification Card) get substantial discounts at many museums, palaces, concert halls, galleries, cinemas and shops. This card can be ordered and purchased at school. Ticket service We book tickets for many different cultural events, from ballet to open-air concerts or football matches. A booking fee is payable. We also sell train and air tickets for weekend trips and can book hotels in other parts of Russia.
